Principles of Supernatural Abundance
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
God did not say he will give you physical money; He will cause men to show you favour and this verse shows 4 kinds of favour. Good measure in the original Greek means a chiefly portion. That simply means if you are called to see a king or a queen or the chief of your village or the president of your country or a big man, what kind of gift and perception will you go with; you will go with a good gift. He said I will cause men when they look at you, to look at you as if they are seeing a king or they are seeing royalty, so that the portion they are giving to you will be a chiefly portion.
Pressed down means to be packaged. In other words people will deliberately prepare themselves to favour you. Shaken together means to stir up the heart of somebody, do you know that favour is simply the perception of other people concerning you. I heard a wise-man once say that he is not a motivational speaker he said what I do is as a result of favour, he said can you motivate a man to go into the lion’s den? You cannot motivate a man to do what he does not want to do, you cannot motivate a man to give you a million pounds, it takes the favour of God, He stirs up the heart of people. How many people know that you did not come to this church by yourself, God stirred up your heart? There’s no amount of preaching or motivation that can bring you here, it is God that stirs up the heart of people to come here. Do you know how many people go to another church before coming to yours? That’s what we call favour.
Have you ever seen a woman look at you and say look at my handsome husband that God gave to me and then you say huh, because you don’t see the handsome they are talking about, but what happened is God stirred up the heart of that woman that when she sees that man she sees him as handsome. It’s not an easy decision for a man to look at a woman and say I want to marry you but what he’s saying is that until I die I’m going to eat one kind of stew, I don’t even know if you can cook, I don’t know if you snore, I don’t know your habits, I don’t know your bad behaviour, but I have decided to take everything like that. It takes the favour of God to get a contract; it takes the favour of God to get a job, that is what it means to stir up the heart.
That’s why he said I will touch the hearts of men to begin to like you, they will begin to favour you, and they’ll seek your interest at heart.
Now, how do you get this favour upon your life, how do you get it in good measure, how do get it pressed down how do you get it shaken together and how do you get it rolling over. The bible says the first thing you need to do is you need to give. It does not tell us what to give and who to give to, it says give and it shall be given unto you. So I began to wonder how do I know what to give. But I studied my bible, if I’m going to follow any example I’d better follow Gods example so I read the book of John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.Who did he give to, why did he give, if I can understand the reason why God gave and the purpose of the giving then if I give in the same fashion I can enjoy the same favour that he carries. So the purpose of Gods giving is salvation, so if you can direct your giving towards salvation then you can enjoy the same favour that God enjoys. Why did he give, he gave to save people. Why should you give, you should give for the purpose of the kingdom of salvation.
1Kings 17:3-5 There is a place of appointment, a place of obedience and a place where your provision is waiting for you. I met a man of God many years ago and he prophesied into my life after I sowed a seed into he’s life, in fact this is the basis of my ministry in the United Kingdom. He prophesied to me and said receive your appointed place, your appointed people and your appointed time and I fell under the anointing the grace of God came upon me and things started happening.
